Sigetronics, a defense-grade power semiconductor company, announced that at 0:13 a.m. on November 27, 2025, its self-developed space-grade Schottky Barrier Diode (SBD) was launched aboard Nuri-ho (KSLV-II) the 4th launch from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Korea, and is now undergoing in-orbit space environment testing.

This test is part of a joint project with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). The device had previously passed ground-based environmental simulations, and the current mission aims to verify its reliability under actual space conditions.

Sigetronics plans to utilize the data obtained from this space environment experiment to validate the product’s space-qualified performance and further accelerate the company’s expansion into the space and defense power semiconductor sectors.
